  1. Art Studio "Peahen" creative activities: 

     

    • May 16, 2011 creative workshop „The Miracles of Sky“ took a place at the art school of Gulbene. Workshop authors -  Patricija Brekte and Kristians Brekte, assistants Elīna Sproģe, Rūta Labrence and Laura Leingarte.
    • Since September of 2010 each week Art Studio Peahen is organising painting lessons.
    • December 17, 2010 at the Art Studio Peahen silkscreening lecture for 11th grade art schools students. University of Latvia, faculty of Pedagogy, psychology and art, program for teachers of visual arts lecture about silkscreening, theory and practice.
    • September 4-5, 2010 on „White Night“ & „SURVIVAL KIT II“ at the Art Studio Peahen. Creative workshop – painted birds cut out of veneer, where the main idea was the silluetes of specific birds that live in Andrejsala. The result of workshop was exposed outdoors on front of Art Studio Peahen. Financial support by Museum of Contemporary art.
    • May 29, 2010 at the Art Studio Peahen. Creative hat-making and painting workshop. Creative workshop activities preparation and workshop author of this project was Patricija Brekte, assistant Rūta Labrence.
    • May 1, 2010 at the Art Studio Peahen. Creative origami folding art workshop within the programm of the Art Days of Latvia. Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare and trainee  Rūta Labrence.
    • March 20, 2010 at Riga Art Space. The creative process was the painting of a seven meters long wall, which naturally completed the last week of an exhibition. Drawings on the wall were real-size stylized people in the airport - passengers, pilots, as well as different airport belongings - various bags, suitcases and luggage trolleys.     • December 16, 2009, a creative Christmas painting workshop. Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • September 16, 2009, in collaboration with the contemporary cultural forum "White Night" and the Contemporary Art Center there was an art workshop „Survival Kit“ at Lāčplēša Street 37 with black and white hanger painting. Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • January 16, 2009, artistic decorations and design for the  New Year‘s ball for the bow-shooting sports club "Amazones". Group: Patricija Brekte, Kristians Brekte, Edgars Spridzāns.
    • June 10, 2008, in cooperation with Riga Addiction Prevention Centre there was a workshop project "Reach Out the Hand for a Life“ for the anti-drugs day event with thematic paintings which, in the end, were given as gifts to youth rehabilitation center "Saulrīti". Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Kristians Brekte.
    • May 1, 2008, creative workshop "May Powa" where various household objects were painted. Workshop was part of the programm of the Art Days of Latvia. Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • April 22, 2008, the Earth Day - the season's closing event for the project „Ideas - People – Changes“ which was organized in Andrejsala against global warming. The most active participants together with artists Kristians Brekte, Patricija Brekte, Ruslan Bilej, Arta Skuja and Andrejs Māris Eīzāns created the "Idea wall" - a lasting message with the young people's suggestions how to reduce the risks of global warming and how to help the world. The creative result was a unique 20 meters long and 3 meters high environmental object that will encourage everyone, and especially the Andrejsala visitors, to think about the global warming threat and related problems.     • March 28, 2008, a creative workshop exercise preparation and classroom managment for the project „Integration of the minors with social behaviour deviations and addiction problems into the sociaty“ in cooperation with Riga Addiction Prevention Centre. Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • November  17, 2007, Art Studio Peahen in cooperation with Jaunrīgas Attīstības Uzņēmums Ltd. organized the Andrejs` Day which included creative workshop of „wooden box overprint“, and the final results were displayed at the exhibition on the Andrejs` Day on November 30, 2007. Workshop author Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • October 3, 2007, Art Studio Peahen in cooperation with Jaunrīgas Attīstības Uzņēmums Ltd. organized workshop for artists residing in Andrejsala - „Creating of Christmas Cards“, and final results were displayed at the exhibition in October 25, 2007 in the Contemporary Art Centre premises, as well as seven of the final cards were printed and were available for public sale. Workshop leader and curator of the exhibition „Cristmas Cards“ was Patricija Brekte.
    • September 2, 2007. For the project "Mobile Museum" programm there was a creative workshop "Trip Ticket" organized, which was part of the authors` photo project and photography exhibition. The workshop was supported by the Riga City Council Culture Department. Workshop authors Patricija Brekte & Madara Makare.
    • July 8, 2007. For the project "Shit Art" the hanger painting workshop "Recycle Bin" was created where many wardrobe hangers were painted. Workshop authors Patricija Brekte & Madara Makare.
    • July 21, 2007. Workshop in collaboration with the artists of Peahen Art Studio and the group of producents „Outline“. Creative activity for SIA Lattelecom sports and mind games, workshop author and leader, and an interactive art installation "Monna Lisa in the Boat“ maker Patricija Brekte, assistants Madara Makare, Gints Vilks.
    • 9 June, 2007. Workshop in collaboration with the "Green Belt" and group of producents „Outline“ where activities in Riga’s central park were organized and where Vērmanes Garden for one day turned into a "Green Dream Garden". When already entering the park, visitors were approached by an artistically designed installation which was made of wasted packaging, used electrical and electronic goods that had ceased their lives in the first phase and had started their new life as secondary raw materials. Professional artists organized a creative workshop where visitors had a possibility to paint on and make a stencils on the wooden "Green Train". At the end of the event this art object was presented to the children's hospital. The "Green Train" visual image and the workshop authors were Patricija Brekte & Kristians Brekte.
    • June 2, 2007. Art Studio Peahen in cooperation with Jaunrīgas Attīstības Uzņēmums Ltd. organized Andrejsala Water Festival where a workshop "Water World" was held near the red doors, and which involved both children and their parents and which was very well received. Results of the workshop were big fishies made from cardboard and painted. Workshop leader Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • June 6, 2007. Creative activity for AS Statoil group`s sports and mind games, "Greek Sculpture Garden". Sculptures were made from hay, constructions, fabrics and ideas of participants of this creative workshop. Workshop leader Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • May 19, 2007. During the Museum Night a workshop "Origami Folding" was organized where everyone was able to fold the peacocks out of paper and to paint them. Workshop leader Patricija Brekte, assistant Madara Makare.
    • As a public creative workshop Art Studio Peahen formed in March 2, 2007. As the first step, a creative workshop was organized where all invited participants - artists and poets - painted and created small poems on especially printed postcards for blood donors. Advertising agency Bad Dog supported the event by printing the postcards from one side and leaving the other side white for artists` expressions. Artists and poets agreed to participate in this charity event by creating 5 to 10 original postcards each, and these postcards served as gifts to donors donating their blood in the Nature Museum action on April 5, 2007. Author of the idea was Patricija Brekte who worked together with Studentnet internet portal and Tālivaldis Kronbergs.   
    • Art Studio Peahen opened its doors for the first time already more than 5 years ago – on November 30, 2006 on the Andrejs` Day - with a silkscreen exhibition „Hour Angle“.
